Bullwinkle Gladiator Build

No I wouldn’t say it’s too bad if any glare at all for me. But take it these are spots only so there’s no wide pattern to really catch the hood.

For comparison just the bright. 👇

And even then these picture don’t do the lights justice. They are way brighter looking in person.
So if I don't see any difference in the photos then the lights were a waste of money?

I do see a difference...

Like I said the pictures don’t really do it justice. They are a lot brighter than they are showing. I’m glad you see a difference. Are they a waste of money, me personally I don’t think they are but to each their own.

Is the glare or light bouncing off the hood annoying? I have the Flex Era 3’s and if I have them pointing straight, the hood is bright as fawk. lol

I would have to agree with the need for spots being needed on the a-pillars. Anything with a spread will cause way too much hood glare. That, or you need to use the lights as ditch lights and that always looks dumb to me.

Waaaaaay back in the day, people installed what were called pencil shields on the a-pillar lights to help mitigate glare.

I think that the pic was taken in an area that doesn't really show them off well. I've run the lights and can vouch for the fact that they shoot a nice beam really far away. Anything up close is lost though and it really is helpful to have a set of spread beam lights to fill things in.

Yea I should of taken a picture in a more open area on the road but ended up getting distracted by the girlfriend LOL 😂

Digital cameras normally have auto-exposure active so if it is brighter then the camera compensates by shortening exposure to make things darker. You can't win! 😄

Ended up getting called off work tonight so figured might as well catch up on my build. Had the EVO mid hoop sitting in my garage that I got from @DirtHeadDavis. Figured tonight would be better than any to install it. lol I think it looks pretty good! Going to add some Flex era 4s to it here soon. 😎 Thanks again @DirtHeadDavis for the free hoop. Definitely putting it to good use! 👍👍

Nice! But damn that actually looks pretty solid with a winch... Can I have it back? Lol, just kidding. Glad you finally got a second to throw it on!

I like the EVO QP with the mid-hoop. Looks good. On my old LOD bumper it also had the light mounting tabs welded up high like that. I made some spacers just long enough for the lights I mounted to install down below the mid-hoop, to allow as much air into the radiator as I could. Just a thought. (y)

That looks good that way! If I was going a light bar route that would be perfect but I don’t think the flex era 4s would fit under there lol

Here’s a shot of just the ambers on and they are pretty bright like Eddie’s. I’m glad KC brightened them up looks way better plus a little more useful.
