Yeah, everything fits well enough to move on to repositioning my lower control arms and building shock hoops. Once the notches are integrated into the role cage I'll go back and fine tune everything.

I cut off two tube adapters from my lower control arms and put them iin the lathe at work and turned off the weld and milled the flats back in them.20180112_222823.jpg I wasn't happy with the shock mounts I bought. Figured out where to mount the lower control arms so they're put of the way of the tires. They're tacked in place.20180118_214833.jpg started on tacking on the lower coilover mounts20180118_223911.jpg still need to finish fabbing the upper mounts and build the shock hoops.

I bit the bullet and ordered upper shock mount brackets, high steer arms and a set of heim joints. The arms and shock brackets were taking too long to make so I cut my loses and ordered them. My high steer arms came today, the nuts, bolts and studs are on they way along with the upper shock brackets and heim joints.20180122_210109.jpg started welding the roof of the role cage together. Had to get creative to have "floor boards" to make welding easier.20180122_210148.jpg

I took the front passenger tire off, the kingpin spring housing off and mocked up a high steer arm. 20180124_173511.jpg my son was a good help. 20180124_152058.jpg drilled the hole for the bolt that puts it in double shear. 20180124_185056.jpg20180124_190952.jpg just need to torque the nuts. I have more parts showing up tomorrow. Should be able the finish the steering

The rest of the studs and nuts came today and I was able to mount the driver side high steer arm20180125_193927.jpg I cut tube, squared it on the mill and mocked it up. The front axle is very close to being finished.20180125_203545.jpg20180125_203554.jpg20180125_203638.jpg I'll cut spacers for the heim joints on the knuckle and weld together the tie rods. The upper coilover brackets arrived too. I'll start building the shock hoops in the next few days.20180125_204747.jpg

Haven't been able to work on the jeep a lot the past few days. A friend needed me to machine some wheel spacer. I bent a shock hoop And it wasn't quite how I wanted it. Didn't take the length of the bend in account when I cut the tubing and bent it too far and it's too tall, but that's an easy fix. 20180130_012314.jpg20180129_204001.jpg20180130_011808.jpg
