My notches look pretty good with tires on. A little grinding is going to have to be done. The driver's side is a little too tight for comfort. The axle is set up for full compression. View attachment 289230

Yeah, everything fits well enough to move on to repositioning my lower control arms and building shock hoops. Once the notches are integrated into the role cage I'll go back and fine tune everything.Nice to see the tires on. Does everything seem to fit pretty well?
Thank you. I knew I forgot something... haha. That's the old pinion frolm the rear axle.I think you dropped your pinion... Looks good. This is a great build to follow. Its coming along nicely.
I wasn't happy with the shock mounts I bought. So I'm machining them to work better.
I started to make upper mounts as well. Another great setup
started on tacking on the lower coilover mounts
still need to finish fabbing the upper mounts and build the shock hoops.

all ready to be welded in.
started welding the roof of the role cage together. Had to get creative to have "floor boards" to make welding easier.
my son was a good help.
drilled the hole for the bolt that puts it in double shear.
just need to torque the nuts. I have more parts showing up tomorrow. Should be able the finish the steering
I cut tube, squared it on the mill and mocked it up. The front axle is very close to being finished.

I'll cut spacers for the heim joints on the knuckle and weld together the tie rods. The upper coilover brackets arrived too. I'll start building the shock hoops in the next few days.
Thank you. This is coming along nicely. Wish I had these skills, well and the time to have a project like this... haha

It's about time... haha

installed them onto the axle

You're welcome, happy to help. I'm sure that truck will live at my house a lot once it leaves yours... hahaThanks for finishing those up. Hopefully I can get that truck out of my driveway now.
