1977 Cherokee Chief Project Begins...

Glad to see you're diving right into this (y)
Thanks! Diving into the rabbit hole for sure. Finding out that the snowball risk of “while we’re in there” decisions are real! LOL!
I am really excited to see this build! I had the near exact same Jeep as my first bought vehicle. It was a 1978 with the 360. Same color and Levi Edition. What an awesome project Tony!! Keep those pictures coming!!
Thanks! I bet your '78 Cherokee was a memorable Jeep! Will definitely keep this thread going as long as I can or until I run out of money! Hehehe.
is it done yet ? I think it belongs on the old iron trail ride. Close enough !
Still trying to figure out which end of the wrench to use. ;)
Looks like a fun project. You're in Apple Valley now?
It's making me question all my life choices, which is always a good time. The Jeep currently lives at my mom's house in Apple Valley...
I replaced the turn signal switch on my CJ-5 several times. They seemed to be made from really weak plastic, and I must have bumped the turn signal lever on the
way in or out of the vehicle.
Yeah, these fragile Jeep parts were designed with their own unique quirks.
The 1977 Cherokee Chief has been a dream vehicle for me since 1977! 🤣 now if it was yellow!
LOL! Do I know you? You need to get your old iron project going too!
He's a long time lurker first time poster...haha
No kidding! Wonder if he still owns a Jeep!
This is very cool Tony, let me know if you need any help with fabrication or welding😳😂😂😂
I know a guy!
Thanks pal! Fortunately, this Jeep doesn't need any welding — does your guy have grinding skills?!
Holy shit 2 lurkers in one day!...haha
On the same day no less! Must be a full moon!
This thread is bringing back some very good memories for me.
That's awesome Tom! If you're bored, I can use some help!
