Only about 20 minutes to get to this spot, that’s including about 6 miles on some forest service roads. The Gallatin River is only about a mile from the cabin but it’s flowing heavy right now

I've yet to catch a tripletail...I heard the fight well and are good to eat?
The fight was decent and they are delicious. We also caught a couple sharks and a ton of trout that day that were also tasty.

sand! It was cold... in the high 30's at night 50 in the day and raining... but it's the best tiem to catch them, right as the ice is off the lake.

It is a lake trout...a first for me. There are places where they approach 60 lbs or more...middle of the summer is not ideal for fishing for them, but we caught our limit of two each...waiting for MTG to post up pics of them cooked...
