Detailing your jeep

You use that as a step or as the whole wash? On a different vehicle I could see using it as a wash but on a Jeep I feel like it couldn’t be more than quick detailer on an already mostly clean panel. It’s difficult to move that much dirt without scratching
I use it 2 ways... both with some water... I know its supposed to be waterless but when you use a little water it works a lot better.

1st is weekly washes when the Jeep is just collecting dust or weekend driving around town... I'll do a quick dust with a California Duster, then soak a rag with water.... Then I light mist a section at a time with the "waterless wash"... rag it clean, then dry.

The 2nd way is when the Jeep is really Dirty from a Run or a trip.... I hose the Jeep off thoroughly top to bottom first.. then use the water on the Jeep the same way... mist a section at a time, clean and dry.

I never use a bucket of soap & water anymore... and each time I use the waterless wash it feels waxed. Every once and a while I clay bar the hood because that seems to take the most abuse from sun and dirt.

Let us know how it works and how long it lasts.
Washed my work truck & Jeep with it... the Jeep being Black is the real test. It's a much better product than the Rain-X. The Chemical Guys does not leave streaking like the Rain-X so it's a lot easier to dry and buff out... which makes cleaning my vehicles go even faster... I'm very Happy with my purchase. And it smells so damn good I want to drink it. (don't drink it) Lol.

This stuff has been good on dust, but if it gets to hot, it sticks to your fingers, so I’m not sure it’s good for the desert guys.

This shit was a waste of my money. I bought it to help me with salt season and the black trim. Smells great but doesn’t last 3 days.

As far as cleaning and detailing goes, my best purchase was the bedrug from quadratec I brought up earlier in this thread. It’s got some miles and seasons under it’s belt now. As someone who didn’t want to bedline his Jeep, this was the move. Problems I figured would happen did. Overall tho, it’s a 30 minute vac job including pulling parts up cuz dog hair and sand got under it.

Oh it's easy. Just takes more time....haha. I'm actually toying with the idea of ceramic coating the new jeep once we get it.
I would. Get it professionally done, they fully detail including paint correction (yes from factory) before applying. Seems highly worth the investment.

Shampooed the seats today. I realy like these drill brushes. Way better then scrubbing with a knukle brush. Then I used a spot bot to extract the chocolate milk.
