20th Anniversary Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - ONLY 4000 Will be Made

So. I like it. Love that the XR made a return. I hate the grill guards on the front bumper. Also hate the red dash. A funny selling point of a 392 for me was the non red dash. lol

As for the price. Ehhh, It’s a lot. 392’s are expensive as fawk and it’s about right in line for what it is.
hmmmm

I have to say I’m not a fan of the red dash either, one of the main reasons I went for the brown interior on my non 392 😔. But I love the gray dash

I'd be willing to wager that Dealer stupidity will kick in and there will be a 15%-25% mark-up at a LOT of places.

There will probably be 1%-3% of buyers have these hauled to their house, rolled off the flatbed and into garage, up on jacks or wheel carts and then covered and hoping in 20 years they will be priceless.

I was strongly considering trading for the 20 Year Anniversary 392, which is why I’ve done zero mods to my 2022 model 392. I was really hoping it would be badass and worth the expected premium cost- as well as the higher interest rate, however I’ve got to say I like the looks of the one I have now better.

If I was buying it simply for the collector value it might be worth it, but I like driving it too much.

I guess I’ll start ordering some parts! 😂🤣
LOL - I'm with you on this. I plan on keeping my 392 forever now and may make a minor mod here and there.

That's cool and all, but what the FUCK is that grille? 😭

Might just commit to my JK at this point... Not happy with where Jeep is going and honestly has been since the 4xE reveal really. Anyone got a JK Dana 44 laying around? Lol?
The JL is a nice rig and I think if you drove one, you'd want it over your JK but I get what you're saying. LOL

It's funny because originally, I really liked the red dash and then, we got Pippi and she came with a gray dash. Our 392 has a darker gray glossy dash and I like it the most.

I think you can count on it.

That grille is right on the verge of angry. Hideous shit. Other than that, pretty cool other than obviously asinine pricing. Overall meh.

I was actually considering trading mine in for the 29th anniversary but after seeing it no thanks!! They should have done a lot more in my opinion.

For me, I think it's the pseudo seven slots. As in, it's just a big ass grill now with ornamentation to make it "look" like seven slots.
That’s exactly what I thought as well. I zoomed in on the pic and thought WTF?!?

These are a hard pass for me. At that price point, there are many other vehicles I’d rather own. If I was inclined to spend six figures on a Jeep, I’d start with a much more inexpensive clean slate and end up with something far superior to either of these.

Don’t get me wrong, I love all three of my Jeeps but they are still Jeeps…they do some things really well but really fall short for other things. Stickers, an AEV lift, and some more horsepower will never change that.

As some of you may have just seen, Jeep just revealed their 20th Anniversary Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and in 2 different engine packages, a 392 and a 4Xe and both of which can be had with an AEV package that'll put you on 37" tires! Of course, only 4,000 will be made and it starting price will over $90k! Below are pics and details from the official press release. Of course, we'd love to know what you think about them.

Hey if I had the piles of cash, and I was not worried sure why not I would go the Level II. But honestly I have built a couple of capable Jeeps and have plenty of other Jeep projects to spend time and no where near that level of cash at.

Caught the Bug
Stellantis is gradually killing the Icon....TAvares is a butcher and not interested in Jeep at all as a worldwide product. Eventually he will kill the Wrangler as we have grown to know it.
