Pretty underwhelmed for the price tag and glad I didn’t wait on it before ordering my ‘23 392 XR. I do like the grille, but not enough to have any regrets.

As some of you may have just seen, Jeep just revealed their 20th Anniversary Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and in 2 different engine packages, a 392 and a 4Xe and both of which can be had with an AEV package that'll put you on 37" tires! Of course, only 4,000 will be made and it starting price will over $90k! Below are pics and details from the official press release. Of course, we'd love to know what you think about them.

The limited run of 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe 20th Anniversary and 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 392 20th Anniversary, available for order this month, are priced at a starting U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $69,585 and $90,895, respectively (all prices exclude $1,795 destination charge). Don't forget the implied AEV LEVEL 2 Option for the winch, more lift and the 37's... there might even be a LEVEL 3 option to add beadlocks?

Not gonna lie, Cindy and I knew that the 20th anniversary Rubicon was going to come with a 392 and we hesitated as to whether or not we should hold of to get it. But, after giving it a lot of thought, we decided that it would be as crazy expensive as it has proven to be and that we would probably think it wasn't a cool as we were imagining it would be. A lot of this came from the fact that we ordered our Gladiator as a limited release edition but ultimately got a regular loaded Rubicon and for less and we were still just as happy with it. I was strongly considering trading for the 20 Year Anniversary 392, which is why I’ve done zero mods to my 2022 model 392. I was really hoping it would be badass and worth the expected premium cost- as well as the higher interest rate, however I’ve got to say I like the looks of the one I have now better.
If I was buying it simply for the collector value it might be worth it, but I like driving it too much.
I guess I’ll start ordering some parts!

Bottom line they are both amazingly optioned up, but with the predictable premium for getting a special edition. Targeted for niche buyers. Standard marketing playbook in any industry. Seem like really nice rigs, just not good value.
