Judging by the c-collar I'm assuming this was a trauma pt? As an EMT and dealing mostly with trauma it amazes me how many RN's and medics hate trauma and stumble around with those pts. I prefer it as you can typically see what's wrong, eliminates the guessing.

I used to not wear one, when i lived in wisconsin. I have ridden for almost 11 years now and I got in my first accident on my bike. A guy ran a red light.. thankfully i was wearing a helmet because I live in cali now. If i wasnt wearing one.. I would of been in the same state as that patient. Its not worth the risk.
