I like my wheels to be a different color than black and I'm not really a fan of anything to shiny. So I have red wheels with black beadlock rings.

Gotta go with my set up now. I have trail ready wheels and I love the chrome ring with the matte black color. Thought about doing a purple or red instead of black for 2 college baseball teams I played for but decided I wasnt sure how I'd like it. Plus my bumpers, fenders, etc are powderedblack. Thought it would just look nice. Of course shiny looks nice too. I wouldnt be afraid to do shiny next time! Theres some good looking wheels in this thread for suuuuure.

That's sick man lol those have taken some abuse, that's always a good thing. Wish mine looked like that.
 
Because it seems to be missed by more than a few of you, I never said that chrome was the only standard for "shiny".

AGAIN - Shiny INCLUDES chrome, polished aluminum AND cast or machined aluminum. Essentially any wheel that isn't painted or powder coated.

Black...For me though it depends on the color and scheme of the vehicle. I personally have black. On say Rubicat i liked the polished look better.
 
I think it really comes down to the color of the Jeep. Some look really good with shiny, and others look really good with black. Personally, I voted for black but I would run shiny as well.

For me, it's not as easy as one or the other. I like black wheels with a black Jeep, but think shiny looks better. For a white, or light colored Jeep, I think black looks better.
 
I voted black but it depends on the vehicle, the color, the style of wheel, etc.
I actually have shiny (or they would be if I cleaned them) rims but that is mostly because I already owned them when I bought the Cherokee.
 
I actually prefer a combination of both! I know not specific answer but just my preference. Too much shiny is too much and too black is boring, but throw on black with just the right amount of shiny accents and that is smooth like butter!!
