Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Put a couple of these together after work today. Been wanting some of these poly chairs for the fire pit for awhile.

My wife bought a whole set of those with the rocker option and a matching porch swing, so far they've held up great for the most part.

There is a place not far from us that has those but in rocker/glider form. We are really thinking about getting some for our porch.

One of my rocker glider's ended up buckling due to a screw in the glider base getting stripped, I'm not certain but it is likely my fault for assembling them with a 1/4" impact driver while drinking cocktails. I'm usually pretty skilled with the impact driver but, It took a whole evening after work to assemble them all and I was a little buzzed by the time it was done.

The plastic was dense enough to shim the stripped hole with a kabob stick & Gorilla glue it back together, works fine now.

I went through all of the fasteners and found a few starting to loosen in the bases and glider struts.

Been a little absent here lately because I started an addition on our home. Worst part about this project is we are on Clay... I fuckin Hate Clay.. if you know you know, its the worst shit to dig. Right now I'm just trying to get through all the ground work... sewer connection and re-route electrical... so I can focus on framing next... thats the fun part.

Come back here if you want to see some legit clay.

Had to redo my septic tanks and it showed me again how crazy that clay is. It’s literally a rock. Was trying to put anchors in to hold them down and it feels the same as trying to go into a rock. It’s wild.
Yep... You cant put a fuckin shovel through it. The worst is digging around existing pipes (My hell right now). I generally will Get a good size trench at the depth I want then start cutting into it 6" at a time with a Demo hammer/digger. Let the digger and gravity do the work, then shovel out the chunks. Only 30' to go. 😩
