My daughter and son in law have a tankless in their RV and it works great! I think you’ll like it too. Theirs has a controller by the shower that you can use to set the desired temp if the default isn’t what you want. Pretty cool.

Vinyl dye should make light work of a color change, since its stock trim someone out there probably sells rattle cans that are a close match.

same here, swapped out 6 old can lights with LED, set them at 2700 and with a dimmer able to get the soft light I was going for.
At full power, they light up the room nicely

RV's are trash. Ours is 2 years old and I had to replace the AC, "fix" the toilet which has a known problem and has been recalled, and replaced a broken leaf spring (fortunately it broke at the end of our 2 week, 2k mile trip as I was backing in the driveway). We bought the additional warranty and all of it requires a tech. They're typically $125 just for diagnosis which is not reimbursable by the warranty company. Plus there's a $100 deductible. So I'm in it for $225 before anything is fixed. New AC $169, new pair of leaf springs $148. Should have skipped buying the warranty all together. Such a waste.

Hopefully the new water heater works. We have a tablets like Mike mentioned. Works great by just setting the temp and turning on only the hot. Trying to set the temp with both knobs gets you scolded or frozen.

Wife has a 2017 Merhow trailer and it's been gold. Sis in law has 2YO Merhow that cost twice as much and it's a pile of shit. I've heard more than a few people complain about post-Covid built stuff being garbage.

For $169 ain’t no way you got a new AC. Maybe a capacitor. I just replaced the fan motor and the capacitor on one of mine and that was $325 in parts alone.

We can’t complain on ours. It’s a 2019, we’ve been living in it full time for 25 months and the people we bought it from lived in it for a year before we bought it. It’s gotten way more use than 99.999% of RV’s out there.

Mine was pre. 2019. Honestly we haven’t had to repair much on it. Just sucks when we do being we live in it currently. These would be non issues if that wasn’t the case.

It was built with a GE window unit like you can pick up at Lowes or Home depot (thats where i bought it). If it was a dometic roof top mount you're right. Parts wouldn't be cheap.
