After running Baja Designs for several years I decided I didn’t want to pay the continued rise of already crazy prices for a set of AUX lights. Decided to try some cheapos and I am glad I did. Tried some Auxbeam 7“ lights, and wow they are really good quality, with very nice lenses and a crazy amount of light. Only time will tell if they last but for 275 bucks I got a set of lights that in my opinion are easily as bright as my LP6s that are close to 1k now. Here are some pics. 13C530E3-16F7-4D5D-869D-B081B31A72E8.jpeg D1ED5812-5B19-4250-AD8C-1C455B5C9CD1.jpeg 21DC4452-1415-4EEF-8855-B2A45EB8123A.jpeg

With the AUX lights. The pics don’t do it justice. The light output is crazy.

How does it go on? Easier than waxing?
Much easier. Just literally wipe on, and then after about 2 minutes, wipe off. You don’t need to wait for a haze, or anything. Some ceramic coats want you to wait for it to rainbow. It might still look wet as you wipe it off. No pressure whatsoever on the paint. Just wipe it off as you would dry it. Just make sure you get it all wiped off. You can get a high spot that might require buffing to get it down after it cures. Just try and keep it inside for 24 hours afterwards. Obviously you will want to make sure the paint is clean prior to it. Wash, claybar etc.

Thanks for the info! If I ever get around to doing a clay bar treatment for all the pinstripes I will have to look into doing this!

Installed some Boom Mat headliners. Definitely made the Alpine system sound good. Didn't think it would make that big difference, but it sure did. Not sure about wind noise, as I haven’t had a chance to drive it, but I’m sure it will help with heat. Easy install, I didn’t remove the top but I did unbolt it and put a 2x4 under the front of it, to give me a little more room for the ones above the rear seat. Quick comment about the headliners. They made a huge difference in noise. Not sure how many decibels but just driving down they highway, everything was just muted. I’m extremely happy with them. Also the price was much better than the rest. The AC didn’t try so hard either.

Installed the rear AntiRock today. I see why they are made to be run in tandem, front and rear. Just the street ride quality is terrific. I think they are a bit too expensive (pretty good discount on them though), but to each their own I guess. Really easy install, as the front was. Nice to be lazy and not get out and disconnect. With the Rancho 9000s and these AntiRocks, it’s a pretty plush ride with the factory springs with spacers. Yes there is a bit more body roll but only initially. It handles very well. Most everyone understands what you’re getting with them but they work very well in tandem and keep the body very neutral.

I have Yet to make up my mind with regards to springs. I would prefer to keep what I have, but as of now I have no extra bumpstops with the spacers. Everything clears except the bumper. The problem with the diesel and the 392 Jeeps is the factory BS are like 1.5” longer than the gas V6 and turbo. If I add BS it will bottom out quicker. Otherwise I have to go with more lift, which I don’t really want. Or I just trim the bumper. I might just trim it. It rides so good. Dammit.

These trails out here in Farmington are pretty gnarly and some of the stuff we tried out are close to my personal limit and the Jeep was much more stable than just disconnected. Now, I wouldn’t replace a Rubicon electric sway bar with one, but for my sport it was a no brainer for me. Even the wife was shocked how well it handled off-road and how plush it is. She got to go out with me today and enjoy being out of the house. It sure was nice to see her forgetting for a while. Unfortunately she can’t ride too long so we have to keep it close. These trails are 5 minutes from the house so Choke Cherry canyon it is. 6C38859B-5814-4898-97A2-E3B8EA689851.jpeg 0F939486-15DA-421E-9499-C5A2D55032E4.jpeg 2EC4FC91-F255-4073-BE93-9907ABC318CE.jpeg 1BA4D864-5767-4262-B0FB-B5BEC1D62807.jpeg 3C2ADD53-DB56-4B4C-887A-D91128BED73E.jpeg 39D863E7-B989-4512-85D9-8EE5E3556ADA.jpeg

Looks like bumper needs a cutting torch or a sawsall. Otherwise looks great!

Front factory springs were sagging like super old boobies. Installed some JKS diesel springs I bought off a member new. I’ll take some more pics tomorrow. I think they will settle a bit hopefully. I also finished the rubicon flares in the rear. Quick chop and done. They are a good deal if you’re looking to just chop them.
