Wow, that looks really good, do you have more pics, let me know how it holds up cause ill do the same thing instead of buying a screen. If you dont mind, how much did it cost about??

I don't mind at all. I already had the grommets, so about $30. Search "$27 mesh bikini top project" on JK-forum. I bought a few extra bungee balls so my rear seat belts stop flapping. But the screen (48" x 84" 90% sunblock) was $20. The black 8" bungee balls were 3 for $1.99, I used 15, three across the front and six down either sides (overkill maybe, but I didn't want any flapping).

The screen was just the right size. The thread indicated the op cut it right at the rear bar, but I preferred to leave it whole; creating a bit of an over hang, so the sun wouldn't beat down on the back of my rear passengers necks.

Thanks, i think using 6 bungees down the sides is a good idea (i wouldnt want it loose either) im definitely gonna look into this, thanks for sharing : )

I dunno if you have thought of this yet, but it just came to mind. Have the hoist have enough rope that you can raise and lower the roof off the jeep To the floor.

Raise the roof off the jeep, move the jeep out of the garage lower the roof down onto a cart or the floor next to one and from there it should be relatively easy or easier to tilt and move into a position that you want. Or use the hoist but only on the front end to raise the front up and tilt it onto the cart once it is on the flat down on the cart or ground. In my mind it doesn't seem too difficult but never know till you try something.

Ha! That's what I'm thinking. For now it's on the floor. I made my hoist, but then I was desperate for shade in the jk, so I got sidetracked. Next weekend I'll make a cart.

Oh, yeah. Sorry it took so long. I read the "$27 mesh bikini top project". I'll be redoing mine. It held up fine for the week during which I used it but it was too big. I'll trim off a few inches, three-four, or may sew in a hem for the same effect and added strength. But although it flapped around a lot because it was too big, the grommets held up fine. I just need to hit up a different Home Depot as the one by my house is out of the mesh. Also, I'll be keeping it shorter next time around. I'll keep it right at the rear roll bar. I think it will look a little more finished that way.

So I was at Discount Tires getting some new kicks for the JKU, when I noticed this guy eying my Jeep...
Long story short; he's an engineer at Pro Comp and asked if he could use my Jeep to try out their 2.5" suspension kit on it. And for my trouble I got to keep the kit. So good bye BB.

Still haven't put my spacers back on, I have to get my alignment done. I'll get stuff done in the morning.

I had an F-350 that ran some Procomp shocks and 37" Xterrains, never had a complaint about them.

Good to know, thanks. Feels better so far, I plan to go out to the desert this weekend for a test drive.

Looks great, I just wish it had a bull bar/stinger option of some sort. Then it'd be perfect!

I saw pictures of one a guy customized on JK Forum...

Looks cool to me just not sure I could do it myself.

Now we're talking. Maybe we could hit up that guy to see if he'd make two more for use. Just read through your whole thread. Nicely done and on a budget!!! I want to go a little bigger and little more extreme, but I'll prob start soon with some small stuff. Your pro-comp lift scenario made me sick. Aesome for you you though. I'd gladly pimp out my jeep for "testing." LOL.

Anyways, keep it going and keep the pics coming. Maybe inspire me to start a thread on my "slow" build.....
