EV Awesomeness

Good. Gladiators don't sell already so that'd just be more metal unable to move on lots.
Funny you should say as much. The RAM we bought is the 4th vehicle we've purchased from Peterson's and so we pretty much know everyone there now. That said, I got talking to them about how sales have been and they said they were really down (sales and attitude) for a time and how they just couldn't push any of the EV and hybrid shit. They are very excited about the future now though and optimistic things will finally get better with all the changes coming our way.

Yup, when I was at CDJR we had a storage lot FULL of hybrid Grand Cherokees, Wranglers, and those Wagoneer S things. All we could move, new vehicles wise, were Cummins Rams and 3.6 Wranglers. We were down more and more month after month and by the time I left so did the entire original team who were actually passionate about Jeep, Dodge, and Ram products. Really hope they scrap the EV crap and start selling units again.

Yeah i saw an article on that a few months ago. I remember when they started building it. Tore up acres of tortoise habitat and desert. Now we have a monstrosity thats going to fall into shambles to look at instead of desert.
Yeah, they said they were going to do it, don’t think there was a date though. Nice that it’s official now. Hopefully they will dismantle it cleanly and restore it. Can’t bring the animals back but I’m betting the desert will recover… if they do.

Who woulda known real people aren’t all that interested in driving electric cars? Not the head of Ford or GM or Stellantis apparently.

IMO, it points to democrat aligned CEOs that took the government billions to retool and believed the biden administration would force everyone into an EV by making carb the law if the land..
Those CEOs knew consumers didn't want them or else they would have been producing them long ago.

The leadership at the time drank the koolaid and not only went full bore on EV because of government mandates, they actually believed in it.

Problem for them now is that the subsidies are going to expire, new laws have been passed to change the nonsense but they've already been tooling for new vehicles that will be made 10 years from now. As in, companies like Stellantis has not been developing a new generation of ICE and the new Wrangler that is coming out in 3 years will most likely still be and or have a lot of EV bullshit to it. The extended final edition 392 will be their only saving grace or at least, until they can figure something else out.
