So, I've been reluctant to post up these pics being that I know it's all just lipstick on a pig but knowing that it'll be a couple of years before we can build something nice, we decided to make some minor improvements to the existing home and make it a little nicer to live in. With that said, I just got done helping the bathroom a bit and think it came out okay. Here are a couple of before pics.
And here's what it looks like now.

And, here are a few before and after shots of the bedrooms.
This is what the master bedroom looked like when we first got the place.
And, after removing all the shit, doing some wall repair, hitting it up with some paint and adding some carpet, this is what it looks like now.

Fortunately, the previous owner kept the closet doors and I was able to fix and reinstall them.
This is the only shot of the living room we got when we first looked at the home.
But, here are a few more after removing the boards from the windows and cleaning things up a bit.
This is what the adjoining dining area looked like.
And, this is what everything looks like now.
Again, I know none of this is anything to write home about but it's what we've been up to and thought I would share.

Wow nice work! Definitely an improvement. It’s amazing what some paint and floors can do.
Thanks! Being that we'll ultimately level the place, I've been trying to do all the work myself and work within a budget - mainly so that I don't get too attached to it and the effort I've put into it. Still got more to do but that's been part of the fun
Another thing we've been working on are the lawns. Originally, the front was fenced in with T-posts and basic wire and the rear was enclosed with a tall chain link. Both were confining and nasty so, they needed to go. Obviously, when we first saw the place, it was still winter and so things look kind of dead but, here are some shots of what thing looked like before.
