Honestly, my reply was more for others that might not know or understand why many feel this product is inferior. I could care less if he understands or gets it.... :yup:
Fair enough :thumb:

I'm sure that these numbers are for constant holding pressure. The numbers for the amount of force applied to the mount point if there was a yank or the jeep rolled off of a rock and was caught by this point or something along those lines would be astronomically higher than that.

Nice work! Can you model in a second pull? Or a third? That's the problem with a substandard recovery point like this. It may work the first time under very specific circumstances, giving the user a false sense of security. But what happens on the next pull when the bolts have been partially pull through the frame, the tab has been weakened, and the bolt welds have rusted out a bit? Again, this set up is flat-assed scary.
HAHA... when your shorts match the height of your bumper, maybe you shouldnt post, superman pose...
Jay- I think you had a typo- the bolts supplied with the Olympus are NOT 5/8", they are 3/8".
The ones supplied with the evo d ring mounts are 1/2".
Just fyi

1. Not once did I or have I said it was equal.... WTF is wrong with you "dude" did you not read the thread... How many times did I say EVO is better, if not the best... Seriously... HOW MANY TIMES GO COUNT...
2. you bet your ass I would... BUT AGAIN, IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT AS GOOD AS EVO...
3. NO, because I have actually seen the product and quality, I seriously doubt you have seen either one.. BUT AGAIN, IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT AS GOOD AS EVO...
These things will NOT kill people...
And no... I wouldnt stand next to any recovery point based on any product invented... Cause they could ALL fail for any number of reasons...

Sorry tough guy, even if I lived closer, you're clearly too badass for me.
You want to ban me, do it.. Dont threaten me for defending myself, which is what this actually is...
LOL!! I think you've confused me with someone who makes threats. I make promises and being that you're the kind of guy who can't just man up and leave on your own, when I get tired of you, I will send you on your way. Promise. :yup:
Ive was called a dickweed... which wasnt called for...
For the love of god, grow a pair already. :rolleyes2:
I was told what I bought is going to KILL PEOPLE... which it isnt...
What you were told is right, what you have could very well kill someone.
And you have basically allowed that to happen...
Well of course I did. You invited it and now you should have to deal with it.
Have you for one minute put yourself in my shoes and read from page 3 on?
Yeah, I have read from page 4 on. What you should do is stop, take a step back and look at how you really sound to everyone else.
I can honestly say, I do not feel you have not for one instance done that...
Of course you feel this way. You're too busy focused on yourself instead of trying to see things for what they really are.
You have allowed this to happen... And when I say lets go prove if my setup works or not, you mock me for it...
Again, of course I have. Mature people would never allow things to get to this point in the first place. Humble people will take a step back and work things out. Asshats will keep on shooting off their mouths until they go off the deep end like you and everyone else will have a good laugh at your expense.
WOW...
That is really cool Way...
:thankyou: Again, I aim to please![]()
Well, that only makes things worse, much worse, but I'm not planning to redo the model :grayno: I took the "5/8" hex head bolts" as that was the bolt size not the head

Just saw that they list 5/8" on their website, lol, 5/8" bolt won't fit thru the frame rail holes without drilling the holes out bigger.

Hey LanceM, as promised, here is the PM you sent me and my response to you.
Please keep all future grievances you have with me out in the public for everyone to see.
LanceM said:Glad we got the badassness cleared up then...
You do make threats... Its very clearly a threat...
ive got a pair... It would be funny to see them slapping you in the face....
Proof other than your really uneducated guess?
Exactly how did I invite this nonesense? By getting upset at being told Im going to kill someone?
Any recovery device could kill someone... Do you support Smitybilt here? Do you think their quality is better than an american based company? Like Olympic?
Which means you havent put yourself in my shoes, you have to support your masses... $$$$
See things for what they are? What are they that I have admitted too?
You are basically calling yourself immature as well as me? Ive gone off the deep end huh? ROFL... seems like a couple of your members are doing that (at the very least, as well)...
I got one of those too...
I still don't understand what he has invested in this product that would cause him to respond this way to the truth of them being very dangerous even to the point of someone dying... I just don't get it.
