EDGE of PIZEN

As many of you know, Cindy and I have been busy with various projects and wheeling trips and having fun with friends and to the point where things have gotten a bit out of control out at the farm. Fortunately, we do have a tractor now and I finally got a chance to do some brush hogging.

Here's a shot of what things looked like.

As you can see, the brush had grown to about 5 feet tall and taller in places.

Time to start hogging things down.

The cowboy hat suits you Eddie.

Don't know how I missed this! Great new property. There is nothing like finally getting to do what you want. Just last week I resigned from my custodian job and went full time into coffee. It's so freeing so I can imagine working a nice piece of property, although hard work, is very therapeutic. Would love to get up there and check it out. Lisa and I are still talking of moving so if you sell your Carson city home you have another interested party...haha.

LOL - would love to have you come up and visit and check things out.

Among the building on the property, one is a really old shed with half of it made in to a hatchery. I hadn't been in it since we first bought the place but decided to check it out the other day as I've been starting to do more clean up of the property. Anyway, when I tried opening the door, I found that it was difficult being that a bunch of stuff had been pushed up against it. This was odd being that there was no way of getting in from the other side but I was able to force the door open. And, once open, I found the room to be a total wreck and... stank like something had died. Of course, that's when I saw this...

Not sure how but the poor guy got in room and couldn't get out. If I could guess, he tore the place apart trying. From what I could tell, he had been alive for a while eating the mice inside and shit them out but once they ran out, he died. Kind of a bummer.

That sucks. Doesn't look like he's been dead that long.

I think the last time I went into the shed, it was early July. I actually remember smelling death back then around there but found a dead squirrel nearby and assumed it was the source. So, probably a month or so.
