I’ve been looking at Kings, but are you guys saying the refurb costs are higher than a new set of King shocks? Thanks!

I was quoted 600 for the rebuild, but I did crush one of my adjusters so it’s going to be a bit more than that.

To buy new with adjusters is around 1800.

They are actually available now on sale for about $1200.

Mine were pretty beat up. Bent shafts, broken adjusters, cracked reservoir, but I think they were planning on replacing everything that had Rock rash, which was well, everything.

After the trip I will stop and talk to the shop about what they can do to make them functional, but ignore the cosmetic. That may or may not make sense. If not, I will just donate the parts to him and move on.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. With the replacement of the non-wear parts, I can see how the refurb price gets that high. Makes a set of Rancho 9000’s seem like a bargain!

The best price I could find for the 2.5 adjustable kings 4-6” lift that I have is 900 a set front and rear so a total of $1800.

I saw the older style set on sale at autoplicty for all 4 for 1200, but those were 0-2” lift.

That was the price for two😱

Without adjusters, they were cheaper, but it seems Bill found a better place to shop than I did.

Just googled it, but is not a set any of us would buy. Mine are list for a little over 900 a set to 1100 depending on the website.

Once I get mine rebuilt, I hope to sell them for around 1200 for all 4. Their not as pretty as new, but they’ll work the same.

Thats why i bought mine when I did. Even with a rebuild I saved 500 on just the shocks. Not to mention the plush rides, sway bar links, evo mini fender liners I got with them.

Rear driveshaft. Guess I’ll bring it along for a spare. They forgot to put the pinion flange in when they shipped it, that will be here tomorrow. I’m not going to remove my pinion nut the day before I leave for Moab!

That looks like the yoke for the pinion is on it. Doesn’t the double go to the transfer case? I guess you still need that flange or yoke
