I guess it's the "Super Stocker" build

I’ve been fighting a rear trackbar/pass rear spring rub since the lift. More here about that.

regrets?

I installed Synergy wedges and Rough Country spring retainers this morning. No more contact at a sit still and none while flexing so far. The spring is still bowed and I may, with the help of a friend, shorten the control arms by cutting and welding. Time will tell. It rides much nicer now and no more clunks.

Scrap that last idea. I swapped out the Ruffstuff arms for the factory arms and removed the wedges. No trackbar contact, fairly straight springs and pinion angle looks good. The only thing I “lost” in doing this is my axle isn’t centered in the wheel well. I don’t really care about that.

I’m done messing with this.

I’ll be tackling the spark plugs and intake gaskets tomorrow.

I ran mine like that and trimmed for 37’s until just recently when I changed up to D60’s. Stock rear drive shaft and all. Works just fine.

Good to know. I was just told these arms are designed for a 2 door and won’t work for a 4 door. I don’t know how true that is but it would’ve been nice to know.

I can’t believe it! I completed something without dropping or losing anything and I know where all my 10mm sockets are! [emoji23]

Spider purrs like he did once before with the new spark plugs. I thought these things were supposed to be 100k plugs? What a difference!

Oh, and no indication of leaks from my oil cooler, confirmed with my wifi scope. I also did the intake gaskets. Overall not a bad job, or, at least not as bad as I thought it would be. If you don’t have one before doing this job, get a magnetic wobble spark plug socket.

What brand is that socket. Did all that need to be pulled to change the plugs?

It’s the Gearwrench brand on Amazon. https://smile.amazon.com/GearWrench-80546-8-Inch-6-Inch-Swivel/dp/B0014ZVSVK

Yes. On the 3.6 you have to pull the upper intake to get to the driver’s side. I used the write up here on changing the oil cooler https://wayalife.com/showthread.php?t=42977 and the 1AAuto video on YouTube. You should take advantage and change the upper intake gaskets while you are in there. https://smile.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-MS-97205-Intake-Plenum/dp/B00QK4YY9S

I also used the Champion factory replacement spark plugs for the 3.6. https://smile.amazon.com/Champion-RER8ZWYCB4-Iridium-Replacement-Spark/dp/B0076GI5MQ

Nice work. New plugs definitely have a nice difference in throttle response feel and drivability.

Thanks! Yes! No more slight stumble on cold start and definitely an improvement of throttle response. Of course I disconnected my battery for the swap, but Spider reads 18.1 MPG right now after a 20 mile test drive. I’m guessing that will drop. It showed 14.5 just before I disconnected the battery. We also know how accurate that is. [emoji849]

Post retirement gig? Started building the Cochise County Offroad Adventure Park in my yard. City slickers can bring their 4x4 whatever or rent a Jeep then rock crawl on these massive boulders. [emoji23]

It was great being on a trail I’ve frequented and NOT slamming the skids on everything. The 4” lift rode great for its shakedown. [emoji1303]
