What was done to your rig this week?

I forgot to take photos, but I installed a Currie adjustable track bar to get my front axle back to center on Fiona.

Put in a bit of work on my son's XJ... A couple weeks ago I tracked down and repaired the evap leak so I could get it smogged and transfer the title. My son finally returned home from overseas last weekend and we spent the last couple days repairing power steering lines and fixing the electrical and driver door switches so we could roll the windows down. 😎

Now that he's back, we're putting together a build plan for it. Once we figure out what he wants to do and break it down into stages we'll start a build thread for her.

Tell your son welcome home and thank you for his service. Loved my XJ. It was a piece of shit in a lot of ways, but just kept on running.

Thanks, I appreciate that. He's still serving, but they transferred him back to Pendelton. Good to have him back. 👍

Yeah, I picked the XJ up for him about a month ago so he'd have transportation when he got home. I really like it... I'd buy one for another backup vehicle. 😎

It was the first time I'd driven a Jeep with a 4.0L... now I get why folks were so pissed they stopped using it. Great motor... Reminds me of a little tractor motor. A lot of torque and it just feels bulletproof. I'm looking forward to the build.

I always thought that the XJ was a cool ride and nice platform for mods...

Finally had some extra time and got the Tuffy security deck installed. It fit perfectly with my wooden tool chest. Had about 1/2" between the top of the box and the bottom of the deck. I folded my dads old wool blanket and wedged on top perfectly. I left the rear panel of the security deck off so I could access the tie down points. I plane to install so other D-rings and when I do I'll probably put the rear panel on. I also need to attach some handles to the front of the tool chest so I can slide it to the rear easier when I need to get into it.

Thanks again Dillard!
