Why the 1/4 pounder?

Technically, it shouldn't but then, when it comes to warranty work, it's really up to your dealership whether or not anything you do to your Jeep can void it. If you have a good "working" relationship with your dealership (i.e. you get oil changes with them, etc.), you'd most likely be fine.

If you do a nice job trimming, and then touch up the metal with some paint, I LOVE to see a tech that knows the wrangler well enough to know that there is something missing. :cheesy:

Why? Because it's one tough well made piece of steel/art. When your welder is too lazy to use a floor jack, you can just use an over head crane to pick up your Jeep by the stinger with no adverse affects!

Very cool like the mod

Nice. I didn't see that last week. How's the light pattern?

Frank, I have been thinking about doing the same thing. Can you post a close-up shot and what lights you used?

Frank, would love to see some more pics and any info on how you did it as well. :thumb:

check out his build thread. He wrote it up in there and has some pics. Should be on that page.

Thanks Sean. I did post pics of hardware used to install and close ups in my build thread (link also in my signature).

As far as pattern goes they function very much like the old stocks used to, just brighter and a bit wider. I just used some cheap Cree LED fogs off of Amazon.

Thanks Sean - that was perfect. And I spent the morning reading the entirety of Frank's build thread - outstanding :thumb: Unfortunately my wife was looking over my shoulder, saw the picture of Frank's new floor, and wants me to get started on something similar...

LOL, don't worry I now have the following projects:

Tile in the family room
Make a fireplace mantel
Reface the fireplace
Wood floor in the kids room and bathroom

At first I thought the 1/4 was ok. But the more I seen them in person the more I liked them. The simplicity and beffyness of them grew on me. I have/had the Purejeep stubby on mine, but it is currently at ORE getting the 1/4 with stinger put on. Can't wait!
Have you seen the 1/4 pounder in person yet?

My wife was reluctant when I wanted to replace my LoD Shorty front bumper with a 1/4 and stinger. The day after we picked up the jeep from ORE she was looking at the bumper and stinger and called it "a work of art". It is a reasonable price for an aftermarket bumper and does what I want it to. Holds the power plant down low and provides some pronghorn (antelope) and cattle protection.

I was thinking about the 1/4 pounder. I opted for the LOD stubby, but was on the fence. That was until I put my powerplant and light bar on it today. Couldn't be happier with the LOD. But to each their own.

I like that LOD stubby, I think that might be the next bumper I get if the price is comparable to the 1/4 pounder. I want something that I can keep my factory fog lights and set my winch down lower.

I had the LoD Signature Serious Short Stinger on my '08 JK and love that bumper. Vey stout. But I'm going with the aluminum quarter pounder powder coated to match the evo stinger on my '15.

The LoD is a great bumper, one that I have run and would definitely recommend it too.
