EEO and DEI are two completely different things.
"Equity" is the key word. It's forced compensation for stuff done when none of us were alive.
Equality and Equity are polar opposites.
Equality is we all start at the same spot on the track.
Equity means some get a head start for being a certain race or other immutable trait, and others are handicapped for being white, including Hispanic, Asian, etc.

Really, the whole statement is copied almost word-for-word from Federal EEO/DFEH verbiage and every large business has a same or similar statement regarding hiring practices.

Except Indian reservation ran enterprises…. They outright say natives get hired first.
I was an EO Advisor for a while in the Corps. It would be very different nowadays, so much so that it’s not a billet that I would want at all.

Really nothing out off the ordinary for a public company, all that is essentially the current law anyway.
