Pic Request 285x70R17 in JKU

Caught the Bug
I'm currently awaiting delivery of a 2014 JKU. I am planning on swapping the 285x70R17 BFG All Terrains from my 2 door (and TF leveling kit) onto the JKU. Curious how this is going to look. I'm afraid they may look too small on a 4 door. Anyone running this size tire or similar setup please post up some pics, preferably on level ground, side shots if you have em. Time to show off your ride!! Please include description of your setup (tire size and lift/leveling kit etc.) Thanks Wayalifers!

Same tire but with 3.5"

The BFG M/T 285/70r17 measures 1/8th inch taller than mine. My 305s are quite a bit wider with much larger tread blocks and voids. For my typical offroad excursions this is better than a skinnier tire.

Sent from a a few tin cans and some string.

Here's a set up I had. Same tires as your getting with a Teraflex Budget boost. Never let me down.

they look fine for about a week then they start shrinking for some reason.

Thanks for the responses thus far. Question, how do you like the 285s on the Unlimited On road/looks/off-road)? I noticed in the sigs that some of you are on 35s now.

Suspension is still stock but I have a heavy bumper and winch.

I want to get a 2.5" lift.

The tires are 285/70r17 Duratracs.

I really like them. I think the 33s look good but my next tire will prob be 34s (285/75r17). That will be awaile from now as mine only have 4500 miles on them.

285/70/17 duratracs and TF 2.5 coil... Agreed with other posts I'll be moving to larger tires next time but the duratracs are awesome and ride great

white one is AEV 2" and billet one is 1.5 TF performance coil kit.
since those photos I went up one size to 285/75-17 and like how they look better. I swear one week is all it takes to think they are too small.

Looks good! I'm assuming those are the 285/75s in this pic? That's what I'm afraid of, Ill put them on the Unlimited and they will look too small. I'm contemplating whether I should get 35s for it, or keep the 285/70s for it and spend the money on other mods (sliders, rear bumper, etc).

yes these are the 285/75's. visually in person they look much better then the 285/70's, photos don't show the difference as much as it does in person.
