The Jeep Super Bowl advertisement.

Yup, totally agree.

Bill Murray’s ground hog commercial was much better

Yes I agree..

All this fake ass touchy feely unity bullshit that is being spewed. With a flip of a switch and none their bullshit ever happened.

They could not have picked a more hard core, left leaning, artist, than Springsteen. "Reunited"... Yeah, as long as you agree with them.

That was the best Bronco commercial yet

Oh and fuck Alaska, Hawaii, and that upper part of Michigan that our graphic designers thought was part of Canada.

Lol. Y’all are pretty damn pressed about a car commercial.

As someone who occupies the figurative middle, I liked commercial and long for the days where our country, despite the variety of ideologies, tried to govern from the middle and move the country forward.

I guess those days are gone and we can expect the tribalism to continue...at least until the middle gets a real leader and finally serves up a bowl of donkey dicks to both sides.

Y’all realize that this is not possible with a socialist left wing party that takes everything to the extreme in place right? I know you three never did or no longer like Trump, but from 2014 on, he did run on a middle ground platform (take emotions and antics out, just look at policies) and was vilified for those policies.

Until the left wing party comes back to a more center-left position or the media counter balances the current socialist party, the only unity will be if you bow and join “their” unity.

The system was designed to self center itself via checks and balances. The pendulum has broken.

The first three who commented that they wished for more centerism in the country. Sharkey, Bubba and Ed. It wasn’t a jab, just saying I understand they don’t like the man (Trump) or his policies for one reason or another, which is okay, I just think it’s going to be really hard for this country to find a real balance again. Not a fake forced “unity”.

I don't disagree at all. And it may surprise you to know that there were plenty of Trump policies I agreed with, but it got to the point that I could no longer look beyond the man. I think I said it somewhere else before, but (for me anyway) the end does not always justify the means and policy is not the only thing I personally look for in a leader.

I didn't take it as a jab. The collective "we" may have reached a point that the only way to have unity is through having a common enemy. That worries me because that is how false wars get created. I think the best solution is for some mean and nasty space aliens to invade earth. Then the entire planet can, hopefully, work together to put the hurt on ET. ;)

The collective "we", (I hate to even use those words because you know what that sounds like...) should have a common enemy. Several, actually. We can start with the Chinese Communist Party. Then, there is, the erosion of good paying carreer jobs for our children. The USA haters, within our nation that burnt down private businesses in our cities. The stifling of our energy sector. Those that want to re-write our proud history by destroying statues, and forcing our children to be taught lies. But, the biggest enemy to us all, is the absolute moral freefall, that our nation is experiencing.
There is no center ground with the petulant, vindictive, tyrants, in control now.

And, Jeep should have promoted their rich and wonderful history as a military vehicle builder.
I guess they could have licensed the rights to that song... "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony".

I completely respect your Trump position and can see how many people ended up there even if I don’t agree.

I do fully agree with your position of common enemies (ie usually war) creates national unity. Problem again this time as is stated below, there should be several easy to identify natural common “enemies” right now, yet those are being completed defended in the MSM and Congress in substitution for one Man and his base of supporters.

In 2016 there were a lot of calls to have Trump if he won, pursue HC for the server scandal and one of his first acts was to tell his base he would not in the pursuit of unity. No good deed goes unpunished.
