Noise was definitely the shaft. No noise after removal.

did the bolts come out easily when you removed it?

I had a similar noise and it turned out to be the bolts on the transfer case end had worked loose.

at lower speeds it would make the noise

No they were all torqued pretty tight. Had to break them loose. Thanks for the idea though.

Looks like 1-3/16" so it would be a 1350.

The caliper found the missing 1/16th the tape measure lost.

If it’s a 1350, that’s great! It would be worth picking up an extra u joint or two and replace the old one while you have it opened up and have a spare in the Jeep.

That's a great idea. It looks like 3 joints altogether in there? I'll order a couple for spares.

Caught the Bug
Took it to the shop today just to check my balljoints and bearing. Both sides need new joints and passenger side needs a new unit bearing. Glad this is getting taken care of before moab! Might as well do brakes now too.
