Thank you everyone, for the thoughts and prayers. Yes I was a Part of the Granite Mounatain Hotshots, words cannot describe how bad i feel knowing that all of my crew was killed yesterday. I am always going to be grateful of the memories I was fortunate enough to experience with these awesome guys. really dont know how to go on knowing im still alive. But the only good thing is that my brothers on GMIHC died doing what they loved. Im still in shock and cant accept the fact that im never going to see them again. granite_mountain.jpg I LOVE YOU GUYS REST IN PEACE MY BROTHERS

This is a terrible tragedy and most of us have no adequate words to describe the loss of life. These brave men were not celebrities or athletes, but they are heroes. They rushed in to save land and property of folks they would probably never know or meet. Heroes! If you live in the greater Phoenix area and ride a motorcycle, you've probably ridden up Yarnell Hill through the picturesque little town of Yarnell, and maybe stopped for breakfast or lunch. It is a little slice of heaven the 650 folks who live there enjoy every day. Over the years the Yarnell residents I have met are independent, tough as nails, and will definitely be back. I am so sad this Elite Team lost their lives, but I am proud to be a Zonie and know these heroes are walking among us.

I'm so sorry. I didn't know you where on Roberts crew. I've known him for quite a few years. We are going to miss him and the others greatly. My heart goes out to you, the fire fighting brotherhood and the families of the fallen.

There aren't adequate words for tragedies like this. Sorry just doesn't really do the trick. Hang in there man.

I too am in the fire service and anytime fire fighters give the ultimate sacrifice for the job its always a sad day. It wasn't until this morning it hit home. Chris worked at my station back in 2005 and even after he moved on to different crews, anytime we would run into one another on assignments we'd always stop and shoot the breeze and catch up. He is going to be missed as well as the others who gave their lives yesterday doing what they all loved. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families. I can't even imagine the sadness and shock you must be experiencing firecrew1. Please don't hesitate to message me if you just need to talk. Godspeed to all the fallen firefighters.

True American Heroes which will live long in all our hearts. Prayers going out to the families and friends during this tough time.

WOW, cant believe you knew Chris. He was a great guy, he would always tell us about his time with Milcreek hotshots, and his time on various engines throughout SOCAL. I went to the memorial service for my crewmembers yesterday, still really hasn't hit me yet, or i just wont accept the fact that i will never get to see them again. Thank you brother, PLEASE stay safe

Yes Robert was a part of our crew, he was a good man. he was so thrilled to get married at the end of last fire season. They just had their honeymoon a few months ago. Still cant believe their gone.
