Are C-Gussets Installed Correctly?

Yeah, I'd be asking for the money back and compensation for damages. That's going to be a lot of labor to undo...

I'm a rookie welder at best and those make mine look like a work of art...

4wp got it fixed. At least they had the decency to step up and fix without question and they cut a deal to install the ball joints. No chance I'll trust them on new work in the future though.

Uhh. Can you take better picture of the welds? Can’t tell if their booger welds got any penetration.

Ya - Will shoot a few more pics and post'em up. Fingers crossed. They look better to the untrained eye.

You see that gap on the bottom brace between the edge and the c? They were bridging the gap with their weld, which is fine if it’s structural and has good penetration. But if not it’s just gonna crack that weld off with any stress. And with the previous welds from before I’m guessing it’s just booger welded on.

I don't think the C's will ever bend enough to crack the weld. Helluva lot better than no gussets. Glad they fixed it.

I'll keep an eye on it. They gave me their "extreme" warranty . . .

It’s ugly but I think it’ll hold. I’ll let a more experienced welder weigh in, with it painted my less trained eye is hard to tell. Either way at least they’re on the right side.
