What was done to your rig this week?

Nothing fun but I did have a passenger sun visor break (the one that rarely even gets used). Come to find out, because of the LED inside, it comes with a wiring harness and requires more tear down to repair than I'm willing to do for something so simple. I found a company online that makes a clip for JLs and JTs that holds it up permanently and it looks factory enough that I'm just going to go with that option.

Well that is just stupid! Glad you were able to find a way to make it work and with something made in the USA

This is fairly common on JLs, there's a fix that entails using a dremel to cut a groove around the remains of the shaft and then putting a spring nut on it to hold it in place. Its on another forum so I wont link it here, just google "jeep wrangler jl sun visor repair".

Pulled the interior out to add some sound deadening. Waiting for brown Santa with a crutchfield order to update the tunes. For 17 years old the tub is in great shape gotta love AZ

I’ve seen this done before and was curious if it really made a difference. At some point I’m wanting to rip this dumb carpet out since I feel it’s stupid to have carpet in a wheeler. Looking forward to hearing how this works out.

That’s awesome! Congrats! From the top picture, it almost looked as if you were holding the Jeep up with your tire carrier lol
Thanks! Being able to lift the frame high enough with the gantry and just roll the axle in with wheels on really made a tough job easier. Doing an axle swap outside, on the ground, is brutal as it is. You know, that LOD tire carrier could probably do it, lol.
