We shouldn't. I don't think we should have been there in the first place. What infuriates me is that we went in to do a job and didn't finish it.
If the reason stated was to take out the Taliban, then we should have done it with extreme prejudice & been done with it, not the half-assed mess we walked into and then ran away from. And it looks like we ran away from it. This was a debacle the way this was handled. He should have increased the presence temporarily to ensure an orderly withdrawal and planned this out with the rest of the coalition forces.

I feel terrible for the women and children of Afghanistan. As with all moose-lim nations, they will be horribly oppressed. The males, on the other hand, should scoop up weapons like the taliban is, and fight back, rather than cling to a departing C-17. I'd rather die in a gun battle against the taliban than falling to my death from a aircraft.
As for the Biden admin., and the failure to hold them accountable, everyone here knows my thoughts on that...

our mission in Afghanistan was never about the Taliban…it was about destroying Al Qaeda and Bin Laden.

Hope you kick it quick. Had it last year and for me it was just a nasty flu for a week then started feeling drastically better day by day. Couldn’t smell a thing for about two months though and was a bit more tired than normal. lol

Same as you. I went into it not worried and came out with a field barren of all fucks.

Yeah it's not bad. I was still able to paint my front door and do other things around the house. The loss of taste is frustrating. I enjoy my coffee and good food.
