Jabberjaw

First “mod” done. Lol. (Door sill protectors)

I’m also having a custom kydex holster made for the CCM mount. Here is a pic of the mount.

I’m not positive I love the location so it could be a few hundred bucks down the drain, but we shall see when it’s all out together.

Those RR protectors are perfect, cover the paint, and easy to dry after a wash. Hope your weapons mount works out; looks like a good design.

I’m looking for some little things to make mine different than everything else out there.

For that same reason, one of my first mods was adding hood stickers in a different color scheme to add some uniqueness. Little things like that add all the difference. The gladiator, IMO, is a funky/cool/ugly model that deserves a non "cookie-cutter" personalization. Been 30 years since jeep produced a truck; make it your own.

So far, I really feel like the transmission (and platform in general) is a big step up from my JKUR’s. I’m looking for some little things to make mine different than everything else out there. To that end, I’m actually considering swapping out the red plastic part of the dash for the leather with the red stitching. I would have ordered it that way if I could have.

No offense but I have to admit I’m no fan of the red dash, but I love the rest of it

I’m doing the same. Wife hates the red.. and if she ain’t happy, my Jeeping days are over.

Both my wife and i never understood the whole red dash thing.

Looks cool on some colors. I like mine being that the Jeep is white. Ok on black, red, silver.
Yellow, mojito, colors like that not so much. My son-in-law has a bikini JLUR. :icon_crazy:
It just doesn't work.

Great looking first mods! Liking the weapons mount but I could see where you may not like it. I would think it could rub on the leg a little. Not too comfortable.

That’s what I’m worried about too. But with my foot on the pedal it might not hit.

I can also move it to the other side. Not ideal for a passenger but for sure workable.

Yup that’s true. For the passenger side at least they are positioned in a way that it shouldn’t be too much in the way. I know for me on the drivers side on long drives I tend to relax my leg more to the right so it would be a no go for me. Everyone’s different though on that. Still like the location though. As much as I wanted to keep the bed empty for a while, I think I’m going to have to pull the trigger on the decked system sooner rather than later.

Somewhat surprisingly to me, there really isn’t much space anywhere inside the Gladiator to put much of anything. The passenger front seat has a heat vent under it and the driver’s seat has some weird bump under it. I was able to squeeze an ARB strap behind the driver’s side rear seat, but I’ll probably not keep it there.

I did order Jabberjaw with the locking box under the rear seat. Honestly though, it’s not very big. A set of heavy duty jumper cables takes up about 70% of it.

I’m not complaining and I actually look forward to figuring out what fits best where, but there is a bunch of stuff that I want to carry on a regular basis that just won’t fit in the cab.

Any idea if the floor is flat under the rear seat/ storage box? I had a thought of if I get a JT instead of a JL that I’d pull the rear seat out completely and mount a fridge in between two bucket seats. Dunno if it’s feasible though.

I wonder if the locking feature eats up space? I have a tool box, jeep recovery bag (the kind that came with the hardrocks), small shovel, axe, hatchet, and folding saw under the rear seat.

Goose Gear makes a rear seat delete system so you can take the rear seats out and put a fridge in just like they do for the JL
