That is the def itself. When the water evaporates out it turns into crystals.

Go to a truck stop and walk around the fuel pumps for the trucks. It can be on the pumps and ground to. Most of the major truck stops steam clean the fuel islands once a week. I had 2 def nozzles the past few days that were solid white from crystal where they were leaking def fluid

That's one of the reasons why I got rid of my truck and don't want a jeep with a diesel engine

I heard that DEF is going away pretty soon, is that true?

DEF will be replaced with electric motors and big batteries.

Lol, true but until then, I heard it’s going away because it’s ending up in streams and rivers and such. Would love to know what will happen to rigs that require it such as the diesel jeeps.

They keep talking about DEF shortages.
DEF is actually extremely clean, liquid nitrogen fertilizer. 32%. They built a huge new manufacturing plant in Iowa. We hauled several thousand tons for side-dressing corn.
Thin it down and spray it on your yard. You'll be mowing every third day.
That is for those who live outside of the desert.
