Well shit, that sucks. I think it would be helpful if you could apply some kind of cast around the break. In the past, I've used a piece of plastic tube that I cut down the middle and then slipped it over and glued it to the broken part. It'll help give it more strength. Of course, this only works if you have enough space to work with as the nipple has a barb and the connector has to slip past it.
I put a tube on the inside. I drilled out the original and slipped a tube inside. I used pvc glue the first time which could be part of it.
It broke last night when trying to put the retainer clip in the line. Pain in the butt since I had the tank already installed.
