What was done to your rig this week?

Love the wheels! Couple questions, did you powered coat and did the wheels start off raw or black??

Thanks. They were black and powdercoated to red. The rings were black but have since meet some rocks so kinda black now. Will re paint black when it's time for new tires.
 
Added Dynatrac progrips that I got from gobicon.

Got my Johnny joint tool to take them apart and rebuild. Did all 4 upper joints on the rear. Only one needed actually rebuilding. But it was great getting that old grease out and get new grease in. Joints move so much easier.

If you have JJ, I recommend getting the tool and taking them apart every once in awhile to clean them up. Super easy.

Spent a great day with great friends working on the Jeep at JKBrick's place. Installed my Evo Rockstars, Synergy rear springs, Rancho RS9000s, and Core 4x4 tier 4 front upper and lower control arms

I decided to install the new wheel studs tonight, before the Big Bear trip tomorrow.

It was going good until I figured out the new ones I had were too big. Of course I didn't figure it out until I had drove all the old ones out.

Off to Auto Zone. They didn't have any, but the store in Perris had two.

Down the street to O Reilly. They had none, but their store in Perris had two. Oh, their store in Moreno Valley had seven, and if I hurried, I could get there before closing.

All done now. I did learn that the Trail D Vice is not strong enough to press them in. I managed with a stack of washers and a wrench to take up space, and a standard type lug nut from a wheel spacers, then a star wrench to draw them in.

Finally done and ready to wheel in the morning.

What a pain. You could have just brought the JL.
