Anyone have a good Turkey brine recipe? Haven’t found one yet I all that happy about.
I have a simple one I use with salmon and have used it many times. Not sure how it would work with turkey but probably worth experimenting with.

1 gallon water, 1 cup salt, 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar, small amount of minced garlic.

I’m not the best cook.. but I haven’t liked brine in the past. I feel like just a good injection is better. Chicken broth, butter, a little spice for kick… and thats it. Brine hurts the Turkey flavor to me.

No need to hit 165 with that bird.
After twenty plus years of delicious, moist smoked turkey from my dive buddies imu in Waimanalo, I can’t eat turkey any other way…
