It’s funny when Jeep parts will break, most of the time. You’d think that landing at the dunes would’ve destroyed that bolt again but it didn’t. I suspect it was probably damaged a while back and the swift pace of the Rubicon finished it off. I actually meant to replace that bolt before we left just in case it might’ve had a fracture, but just ran out of time.

I figured it was good with the new bolt.

I meant if it didn't break on the Rubicon, and held on until the dunes.

I've had my front drivers tire end up under the driver's door before. It's no fun. Not on the Jeep, on my Toyota, just to clarify.

Yeah that would’ve been catastrophic. One of these days I’ll get back to making repairs and improvements to the JK, and that’ll be one of them. Hell it still has 2 vise grips clamping the brake line.
