Video Games - Childhood Nostalgia

Oh we played outside plenty too. As mentioned BB guns, rock fights, built many forts with scrap would we got at local construction sites. The best were shingle fights. Had a neighbor who put a new roof on so we figured out that if we broke the old shingles into sizes about 3x3" we had "ninja" stars. All fun and tons of fiberglass in our hands....haha. Also played Tony Hawk pro skater for real before the game came out...haha. The 80's and 90's were awesome. Definitely relate more to Gen X than Millennial

BB gun fights were the best until the crossman pump model came out 😳
Dad made it clear BB gun wars were strictly verboten and the consequences of such would be severe.

When our cousins shot me and my brother to start a BB gun war, we gunned them down without mercy and inflicted maximum hate and pain until they fled the battlefield.

Our cousins were shocked and furious because we violated all of the BB Gun Wars Rules Of Engagement, but we didn’t care. If we were going to get into trouble with Dad over this, we made sure it would be worth it.

Sadly but not my parents never bought me video games. I either played outside, watched TV or hung out with family. Only video games I played was at friends. Mainly black ops and that was in Jr. high and high school. Never really had an interest though because I didn’t grow up playing it. Would much rather do other things.

Started and ended with the original Halo at a friends house. Didn’t like video games very much, that and my parents said I could buy my own video game system if I wanted one so I didn’t want to spend the money on one.
