Awesome! Glad to hear you were able to enjoy this. And yes, it's a hell of a lot of work but we love itDamn, that video brought back some really special memories.
Thank you for all the years of coverage. I can't imagine how much effort that takes year after year.
Very cool and thank youFinished the second half, throughly enjoyed every minute. All of the edits is insane to make the video fun to watch. Good work in front and from behind the camera!
Thanks for all the work you guys did.
Back when the JK first came out, Jeeps and off roading was still looked at as something people did in low range and playing on the rocks. In fact, it is the reason why SEMA used to have proving grounds out in Silver Lot as you can see in the first set of photos and in our first video with Mel. This is where products could be shown in use and put to the test. In later years, when speed became the thing, they had proving grounds for that and complete with jumps. Then came the car camping fad (fortunately, that's kind of dead now) and worse, all the "look at me" crap. Finally made it through it! Thank you for the trip down memory lane. Great work on putting this together! It’s crazy to see the passion behind the innovation when the JK first came out and the JT first came out.
I think a lot of that was the economy started to get better and so there were a lot more companies trying to get into the Jeep market, only with useless stuff. Also, companies making practical products started to get bought out by mega-corps around that time too. Think Poison Spyder and the like all getting picked up by 4Wheel Parts.Right at an hour in. What a time warp. I think 2011 and 2012 were my favorite years. It’s funny, as the video quality got better, the show got worse. lol
That silver rock krawler two door was one of my favorite builds. Makes me wonder what happened to some of those old builds and where they are now.
I’ll try and finish this before the 2025 SEMA show starts. lol
Glad you were able to get through the whole video and that you enjoyed it. Hard to say if SEMA will ever come back especially with all the social whoring these days but then, I didn't think it could recover after 2008 either. So, I still hold out hope and still love the show for what it is. There's always something I come across that I really like.Got the second half squeezed in. The only thing that stood out to me was the bestop two door for obvious reason.
Cool video and really well edited. Hopefully SEMA is able to get back to what I loved about with new “useful” products by real people.
LOL - that was on our first videos and yes, I do recall it being pretty pricey at the timeThis was so true. I was like can we just stick with the slide shows? Haha Eddie with his handheld voice recorder was awesome which probably cost $300 back then.
Very cool. Pretty much done with it and it's wild to see how it evolved. I've always wanted to go but at least I get to live through your videos. Also, do you age? I swear you look the same from start to end.
Asians.
my thoughts exactly
This is when SEMA was really cool or at least, when it came to Jeeps and off roading and products being made for it.

Yup, early 2000s and I believe these shots were taken in 2005. Those were some good timesEddie
What year was this? Early 2000's? I remember that and if I recall the man made obstacles started to fail a bit.
It really was cool to see.
They threw swag into the crowd and I caught a UROC hat.
I finally got a chance to watch it all, nice job! Crazy the changes in the industry in the last 20 years. Also, where the hell is that dual swing rugged ridge bumper for the JT? That thing is sweet.LOL - you're an old fuck now! Cool that you'll be going to the show. Maybe we'll see you there.
Hope you enjoy it when you do get around to watching itLooking forward to watching this! I'll have to wait for a day I'm off work so I can enjoy it with a beer!

I’d love to tell you, you haven’t aged either,, but ..,
Those are the lucky ones. A lot just moved onto/into other industries and it's kind of sad.A lot has been mentioned, but I also thought it was funny/cool to see some of the people that are still in the business but at different companies.
The JK is a great platform to work with especially being that so much was made for it. I really thought the same would happen with the JL/JT but I just haven't seen it. Glad you enjoyed the video. Finally got a chance to sit down and watch this tonight!
As others have mentioned, it’s really noticeable how manufacturers have gone from really trying hard to make Jeeps perform better off road to making gimmicky stuff that feeds consumerism instead.
Also worth noting is your guys’ consistency in coverage! Literally felt like one big long Sema show coverage if you look past the mid 2000s camera quality haha. Didn’t get any lazier over the last 20 years. Bravo!
Thank you guys for taking the time and putting in the effort to show us what is available or is to become available for our rigs over the years, and I’m looking forward to this year’s coverage.
And man, something about those early JK days, all the cool stuff that was coming out. Really makes me love mine more, in hopes I can get my hands on some of the stuff I saw available for the JK when I was growing up.
Tell me about it! That thing is gorgeous. Glad you had fun watching 20 years of SEMA.Finally got to watch it’s funny how fast time has gone . The synergy jeepster is still one of my favorites. Thanks for the coverage
