Finally made it through it! Thank you for the trip down memory lane. Great work on putting this together! It’s crazy to see the passion behind the innovation when the JK first came out and the JT first came out.

Back when the JK first came out, Jeeps and off roading was still looked at as something people did in low range and playing on the rocks. In fact, it is the reason why SEMA used to have proving grounds out in Silver Lot as you can see in the first set of photos and in our first video with Mel. This is where products could be shown in use and put to the test. In later years, when speed became the thing, they had proving grounds for that and complete with jumps. Then came the car camping fad (fortunately, that's kind of dead now) and worse, all the "look at me" crap.

Right at an hour in. What a time warp. I think 2011 and 2012 were my favorite years. It’s funny, as the video quality got better, the show got worse. lol

That silver rock krawler two door was one of my favorite builds. Makes me wonder what happened to some of those old builds and where they are now.

I’ll try and finish this before the 2025 SEMA show starts. lol

I think a lot of that was the economy started to get better and so there were a lot more companies trying to get into the Jeep market, only with useless stuff. Also, companies making practical products started to get bought out by mega-corps around that time too. Think Poison Spyder and the like all getting picked up by 4Wheel Parts.

Got the second half squeezed in. The only thing that stood out to me was the bestop two door for obvious reason.

Cool video and really well edited. Hopefully SEMA is able to get back to what I loved about with new “useful” products by real people.

Glad you were able to get through the whole video and that you enjoyed it. Hard to say if SEMA will ever come back especially with all the social whoring these days but then, I didn't think it could recover after 2008 either. So, I still hold out hope and still love the show for what it is. There's always something I come across that I really like.

This was so true. I was like can we just stick with the slide shows? Haha Eddie with his handheld voice recorder was awesome which probably cost $300 back then.

LOL - that was on our first videos and yes, I do recall it being pretty pricey at the time

Yup, early 2000s and I believe these shots were taken in 2005. Those were some good times
