VIDEO : 20 YEARS of SEMA Highlights

At the risk of showing our age, 2025 will be the 20th year that Cindy and I will be in Las Vegas, Nevada and to cover SEMA or at least, in regards to Jeeps and the off-road industry. But, before we do, we thought it might be fun to look back and highlight some of the cool rigs we’ve seen over the years and maybe more importantly, some of the awesome new products that were being released at the time. Of course, you'll also get to see all the times that our JK Wrangler, Moby and other Jeeps of ours, including our big JT Gladiator and 392 JL Wrangler, were featured at the show as well. That said, we hope you'll enjoy taking this walk down memory lane with us and seeing just how much things have changed over the years.

Great video you guys. I can only imagine the work that went into that. Thanks for taking the time, I really enjoyed it. So cool to see the very stark contrast of how Jeeps and the industry has changed over the the last 20 years.

One very obvious thing to me is that in the early years, you can clearly see the innovation in the products and creativity in trying new things. You could also see just how excited the reps/owners were to talk about the products they had and had passion. As time went on, it begins to be clear that things became more "copy and paste" and in my opinion "gimmicky" products. I'm sure a lot of that though has to do with the big brother companies buying up all the smaller ones. So cool to see the beginnings though of so many companies and parts that we still use today.

Great video and really looking forward to seeing what SEMA 2025 brings.

It was a lot of work for sure. Been slaving on it for about a month now going through tons of old hard drives and archives. Glad you could enjoy seeing some highlights back from when you were still in high school maybe? LOL

Well said and yes, it was a really different time 20 years ago. There were just so many individual companies and all of them trying hard to develop and sell, really useful and functional parts that would improve performance and especially on the trail. You may or may not have caught it but there was definitely a rivalry even amongst companies when it came to what technology was better or best. It really is a shame how so many of them have been bought up by just a handful of mega corporations and now, all they make is safe and sellable accessories.

I did pick up on the one between Bestop and Rugged Ridge haha Pretty sure it was Rugged with there soft top.
