Vengeance, part III

OverlanderJK

Resident Smartass
I kind of like them.
I am not a fan of the fenderless look, and don't know what else would fit there.
I will say, with the cool look on the front, the rear don't match, so if there is something that would match up, I would consider a change.
Maybe the mismatch from the front is what makes it look off to me. I would guess a custom tube fender like the old TJ corners used to have would look a little better.

I put the rear fenders on because it throws so much mod into the cab it is no funny. Those were the best I could come up with at the time. Would need to do something customer to really match the EVO hood fenders.

The good thing about these is like the stock JK fenders, they flex instead of bending what's under them, or breaking entirely.

I have already folded them up pretty hard, and they take it much better than the front fiberglass.

Speaking of them, I am going to trim 2 or 3 inches off the bottom, as they keep getting hung on rocks.

Oh, and 40s rub everything. Going to get the sawzall and grinder out.
I don't mind a bit of rubbing on smooth things, but the seams will play hell on the tires, and what's left of the fender brackets in the front need to go. They are sharp, and hard on rubber.

The lack of bumpstops may need addressed, the way I drive. I will probably but the King air bumps in both ends to cushion the last bit of compression. The axle to frame contact is rude, and actually broke the windshield today on a good hit I didn't see coming because of the dust.

Mounted the jack to the cage also. Easier to get to than stopped to the floor.

Did you bend the hood?
No, the rear latch broke when a rock pushed up on the lower fender. It was sitting fine on the trail, but at freeway speed, it came up off of the dimples it indexes on. I snapped a pic, then zip ties it down.

I have my old JK latches in a box. Easy fix, but also why I am going to trim the fenders a bit.

Not doggin the build... I think its f’n awesome... and my opinion don’t mean shit.... and you never even asked... lol... but I think the Jeep would look better if the Spare Tire was vertical.. That is all. Feel free to ignore me. 😂

Looks good and it was great to see vengeance in person. Being that it's so low 40's don't make the rig look huge like on a 4 door. Thanks again for the winch now when to get it installed. I didn't have time to get the needed hardware.

🤣🤣🤣 You and my friend Dennis would get along great.
The spare fits, for me, as most know I'm a little bit off anyway.

What's that 😁🤣😁🤣
I don’t think he checks it... 😂
Why, it might scare me🤣

Today I replaced the broken good latch, and drilled the grille for some bullet LED turn signals.

Now to wire them up. I'm going to look for the outer wires, so I don't have to cut the harness to make them work.

I'm a little late adding these, but here are some pics of last weekend running Mousetrap and Apple Crush with Don (Clearskies)
