Tire imbalance or death wobble?

Bob sez:

Take your Jeep to a tire shop. Have the "balancing" beads removed. Have the tires inspected for defects. If the tires are OK, have them properly balanced.

The above is what others have said since the beginning. Advice was ignored.

But maybe Metalcloak offers some other bolt on solution?
There was a bunch of stock parts still. With an unknown amount of life left. I figured I might as well cross them off while I can. The tires see smooth a when I bought it and nothing changed with them. So my thought was they could be the problem but I’ll check elsewhere. The drag link had slight movement at the pitman arm so I wanted to change that, and it’s cheaper to buy it as a kit with a tie rod and stabilizer than it is to buy them individually.

Just picked the jeep up from the road force balance appointment. They said they all balanced out. One had to be rotated to get it into the green.

It seems much smoother, but I need to get some more miles on it. Will report back when I can do so, on call at work this week so luckily I get to keep miles off mine.

Out of curiosity, what do they charge for a road force balancing of 4 tires? I've asked 4 tires shops in my area and they had no idea what a road force balancer was. Lol

When our shop did it like 20 years ago, it was by the hour. Pretty time-consuming to do it correctly. 1.5 to 2 hours usually. Shop rate then was about 70. Now nationwide average is close to 200/hour.

A shit ton. Dropped off four tires and wheels at the local garage they said the only way to balance 37s was road force. Oh ok pick them up the next day $320. WTF? Oh yeah they said thought you knew road force balance is 80 a tire. Was my fault I didn’t ask before hand I guess.

A lot of times you have to actually unseat the tire from the wheel and rotate the tire on the wheel to get it in the right spot. It's a pain. It's pretty cool technology but expensive.
