just found this thread and i have a rant its a big one so get ready!!! ok what the eff is up with this dumb double standard for the handicapped? really the military wants perfectly fine people to go rip to shreds when im willing to go in with my hearing loss but noooo you cant be broken before hand... also dumbass people telling me i can do anything for employment or fun and next thing i know they are telling me because of my hearing that i am to big of a liability, and then its ok for people to go and discriminate or accuse you of faking your disability because you try so damn hard to be normal and functional in life and then you get fired if you are even remotely smarter then your employer because no "disabled retard" should ever be as good as anyone else in life!!! but yet you cant get disability but you cant get a stupid job because people dont like dealing with hearing aids... :gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::furious3::furious3::furious3::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum: i freaking give up!!!

I have tinnitus and its annoying but no one really understands it so i just smile and nod. People believe what they wanna believe but you know whats what. :beer::thumb:

that is exactly what people do and when i ask them to turn on subtitles they just crank up the volume... i use my eyes more then my ears for hearing... idiots of the world unite!!! btw just so people know i hear at 80 decibels for 1/3 of the hearing spectrum and the rest is beyond hearing aid correction and most people consider 90 or worse to be legally deaf, and i still speak normal and even know a few foreign languages (not fluently)

Edit- i also have the ringing but its caused by my hearing aids so people say silence is golden when in fact for you and i its deafening!
 
Right? I hate the quiet. But I deal. Don't get me wrong, I sure do appreciate a nice quiet countryside by a campfire, but I always have a kid making a ruckus or a work phone going off anyhow so.... it's alright.


No one here will judge you, bud. You can hear us just fine! :thumb: Besides, those clowns that don't like your hearing aren't good friends anyways. :naw:

yeah I have just had so much discrimination with it that im sick of it... and its not like im dumb, im just different. but i hate the quiet as well but i hate big groups of people i dont know even more...
 
I mean no disrespect to anyone but you guys speaking of your disabilities made me think I haven't seen a post from nubs for a while, where did he go?
