That's Awesome! It's so great that you guys enjoy your Jeeps together. The JL looks cool topless. :thumb:
Thanks Kirk. It sure does look good. A step up from the JK

Looking good.
Thanks

It does look great on the trail opened up!

Who makes that cover that you used?

I think it is Smittybilt. I got it from Dillard's garage sale when he moved. It worked great.

Looking good Jerry.
Thanks Dave

Great that you guys are getting out enjoying 4low...
Thanks Ed. She is the happiest I've ever seen her when we go out wheeling together.

Looks awesome Jerry . Sad I missed the HDRU. Looking forward to taking the top off this summer . May need a place to drop mine before hitting the trail hahah

You would have had fun, but it looks like you did OK as well.
It's a bit out of the way, but you could drop the top and doors at my place for a trip if you like Dan.

Looks great! Glad you’re able to get out and enjoy them [emoji106]

Thanks.

Hopefully you and your wife can get a make up trip planned since your Moab trip got postponed.

Awesome . Would be fun to wheel with the top and doors off . Might take you up on that at some point .

Wish I could join you guys at Cougar this weekend (potentially) but have a wedding in LA .

We absolutely will! I have plenty of stars on google maps [emoji23]

Edit: it’s also the busiest time of the year for my job. I don’t want to accidentally miss a big day being on commission. So in a way, it kind of worked out we couldn’t go to Moab yet, maybe we’ll make it down during fall or winter when I need a break from the cold lol

Well, today was tire rotation day, as well as checking torque on the spacers.
All were still tight, no problems found.

I also modded the EVO tire carrier a bit.
I hate the way the camera sits there exposed, when it was nice and protected in the factory location. I took the sawzall to the factory carrier and cut out the center piece.

First I tried it with the whole bolt circle. No good.

Then I just kept on trimming it smaller and smaller until it was just right.

I ended up trimming it back to behind the lip on the plastic coating, and now it goes all the way on and I get the full camera view on the screen.

In the fourth picture, you can see the small lip on the plastic where it flattens out, that is where I ended up grinding to to get it right.

No more worrying about ruining the camera when putting the heavy ass tire in the carrier.

Now a couple of pictures with the tire back on.

Looks much better not, and I don't have to worry about the camera anymore.

But wait, there's more.

I added a two tier cargo rack to the back.
I intended for the rack to sit crossways, but it is 10" too long. I will need to cut 5" off of each side, making it a bigger project than I wanted today. I decided to try it with the two pieces side by side. I can always change it later, if I want.

It is made from two pieces of 1" square aluminum tube and a cheap Harbor freight hitch rack. I have about $50 and a couple of hours invested in it.

Nice. I'm looking into a similar solution. [emoji106]

I'm a bit late on the update, but Olaf got some small goodies, doors off mirrors, and footpegs with a little Jeep grill in them.

We also got out to a Holcomb Creek run last Sunday

Olaf and the Jeep girls got to go to the Jeep Bash yesterday 👍 They even let me drive.

We flew old glory proudly on the new hitch mounted flagpole. Olaf also has some new cowl liners, just for show. Nothing else new, yet.

We did see lots of ideas at the show, and it was a good day.
