Caught the Bug
Not so much news but makes me happy regardless. I interviewed with a neighboring county Fire Marshal's office about a month ago (currently work at a university as a FM). My buddy at our volunteer FD and my boss here, Assistant Fire Marshal, took a job with a city Fire Marshal's office near where we live as the Assistant there. The neighboring county turned me down but didn't really have anything to say other than that having my LEO cert would have probably helped. Well, today my buddy texted me that he is at this fire code update class with all other FMs in the area. The guy that interviewed me at the county was apparently singing my praises and telling everyone else in the room that if they are looking for someone that they need to look into me. My friend spoke to him and he said that I was beaten out by one guy and what held me up was not having my LEO cert (used to but it expired a couple years ago).
Nothing will most likely come of it seeing as there is only one other FMO I wanna go, besides the one that declined me, and that is the one my buddy is at. But regardless, I didn't think I was "good enough" to be talked about with other big-wig FMs. :shock:

Probably not as interesting as most but still makes me happy. My hotel by the Atlanta airport, 150+ rooms, has been sold out for 2 weeks straight. I love bad weather in other cities!

The wife had an interview today that seemed to go well and has another one tomorrow and a 3rd one on Friday.
