Because Many people in California either work directly or indirectly for some part of the government(state, county, local) or a family member does and their livelihood will be affected if there’s any slowdown in spending. That’s why the ridiculous temporary gas tax wasn’t expired a few years ago. They told the public works construction unions that their pay and jobs would be cut if the taxes didn’t continue.
 
I did not like dealing with CA to get a birth certificate so I could get a passport. Thankfully, my parents had mine that expired in the 1980s that I could use instead of a birth certificate. Trying to get a CA birth certificate with NY SS number...

Sadly I watched it happen there and got out. Unfortunately it’s happening here in Va. The state just elected a radical left wing CIA AWFUL governor along side a demoncrat majority in both houses. They are pushing for tax increases on everything including Amazon deliveries and door dash ETC. strict gun control, renewable energy mandates. Wife has finally conceded we need to move again.

Really sad to see what's going on with Spanberger. Ran as a moderate and then went full retard once she got in office. What sucks is that there are only so many places left to run to and the shitheads are going there too.

That sucks. I remember when all those 2A advocates fought against the gun control agenda pushed by the previous governor. They were all geared up in body armor and locked and loaded with AR’s and such, big show of force. Assuming they gave up.
