I have no idea what a birria taco is. Never heard of it in Texas, New Mexico,, Arizona, or California. I assume it is some creation from New Jersey.Funny, this area can still be somewhat backwards about different ethnic foods, even though it's 2025. In Pittsburgh and the suburbs it's just like everywhere else, but when you get into our rural areas it can be pretty old school. Like growing up here tacos were the Ortega kind, and there weren't no other options. That mexican place I ate at today was in a mountain town & based on the ma & pa kettles eating there, no one would know what a birria taco was if it hit em in the face.

Yay BoB you did it you used the internets and found out about burria. It’s delicious BTW probably not going to find it at a Tex mex place.
