Sad day for the Jeep

Glad you guys are ok. Replacement parts for jk's have gotten pretty cheap so they will probably swap you frame and other parts. Just make sure to get pictures of all your aftermarket parts that have to be replaced and get a screen grab or link for the parts to give to your insurance (or there insurance). I had a TJ that was t boned (I'm ok) but I didn't have pics, receipts or anything for the afteremarket parts/money in it. So when they totaled it they didn't include the price of the parts I had put on. My current insurance agent to me to do this. Hope all will be good.

Thanks. They decided it’s going total, but consider a lot of the suspension and drive train as wear parts so don’t want to pay for them. I’m in the middle of a battle right now. Luckily i had pictures and receipts. And I still have the Jeep

I sent them my receipt from Motech and the reply was "we're sending your case to a specialist to be re-evaluated." Good luck with the fight. Hope all works out for you.

I put all my builds on an excel spreadsheet and saved every single receipt ...there are plenty of pics during the build as well...my main concern was replacement cost due to theft...

I have that as well. Didn’t make as much difference as I had hoped...

Finally settled up on the vehicle portion of my claim. I’ll be dropping it off at the shop in the next few days. Hopefully a month or so after that and I’ll have it back!

Glad you were able to get it fixed. Hopefully sooner than later.

Front couple feet of the frame is bent a bit and front clip is twisted. Luckily aside from a door and 1 body panel nothing is buckled, so it can all be pulled. It’ll really just be a trail rig after this. I’m not having him fix the door or do any paint work. Just straightening the frame and getting the front end up line back up.

Glad to hear it's getting fixed. Did you have to buy back with a branded title or is it "repairable"?

It’s branded Salvage but I can repair it and get a “Rebuilt Salvage” and be street legal. Since I take night college here in Texas I’m able to still have it registered is AZ, so I’ll likely swing through AZ and get the inspection for registration on my way to Moab
