Replacement DS (left) Sun Visor w/ Homelink

Hooked
Well the other night I was pulling my wife's JL into the garage and noticed the driver's side sun visor was loose. I figured somehow the screws worked loose but it was late and didnt want to fiddle with it. Yesterday she was driving and said it fell down. Upon inspection last night it looks like the plastic post which presses into the mount broke so it's being held up (half stowed hanging down) by the light and home link wiring. Anyone else experienced this? Looks like I'll have to order a new one and the cheapest I found was a new one on eBay for $175. I may try to glue it back as a temp fix but im sure the pressure of putting it down will break it easily.

Yes. There's an aftermarket thingie that is an easy fix. I'll try and find a link.

yep, 2018 JLU and the 2021 JT I had, don't waste your money on the same plastic mounted visor.

This is what I used on both the 2018 & 2021, Amazon:

Lol. Was just about to post it.

Just found that too. Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be getting those for the fix. I didnt really want to buy a new visor because it'd break again.
Not to mention the labor. The harness is long and you have to remove a ton. Once you put the clip on, it looks clean too.

It happened to me (I posted about it in this forum). There is a different jeep forum which seems to have 10,000 postings on this topic.

This is an issue where Jeep really sucks!

There are several different screw-on clips available on Amazon to hold the visor up, or maybe proactively keep it from breaking.

Yeah i had no idea until about 30 mins ago that this is a known problem. Thought my wife just got too aggressive with the visor...haha

The bad thing for us is that we were on a long trip in the middle of nowhere. The sun was really bad. We rarely use the visors, but the wife and I discussed it and we decided to use them. They both broke at the same time!!!

It really sucked having a visor hanging by some wires in front of me, and 600 miles to go. 😕

Happened to me too and got the doodads Joel posted. The shitty part is it broke the wire to the home link when it fell. Now it’s just an expensive visor.
