Looks pretty damn good…when I first saw the tank I thought you were installing a NO2 system…and maybe wheelie bars afterwards…

I don’t know if I posted about this before but the factory rear geometry on JT’s really sucks.

This is how the rear upper and lower bars work on a factory set up, both mount in fromt of the axle and close to each other.

The amount of pinion angle change looked horrible to me so the guy who helped my build my JT moved the upper mounts to where the coil springs use to set. I used a set of JL lower arms and extra Johnny joints to fix the problem.

My pinion barely moves now throughout the whole travel of the rear suspension. But the extra long Johnny joint is an eye sore. So I ordered some new Johnny joints, heim joints, and DOM tubing and we built these.

Fixing to send them off to powder coat and install next week.

Evo made a bracket to move the rear arms up

I happened to call Evo Manufacturing and Andrew actually answerEd the phone. Was able to discuss this with him for a bit, that’s how I learned that lower JL arms were almost long enough to work. He told me about the new brackets and I told him about our idea, hence where I am at now.

I was having some problems with satellite radio reception after installing the roof rack.

I bought a relocation bracket and moved the antenna this weekend. It was pretty easy once I figure out how the sound bar and interior pieces came out.

Started working on a small skid plate for the rear of my JT to protect my bumper hopefully. Will post pics once I get it installed.

I got the new upper control arms installed along with a rear skid plate that hopefully helps protect the rear bumper. I wish Evo would release the bumper Eddie has.

Rear control arms, Johnny joints up from and heims in the rear.

Rear skid plate. We welded flanges to where the hitch used to be and built a skid plate from 2.5“ heavy wall tubing and 1/4“ plate. It supports the weight of the rear with no deflection in the bumper.

It was relatively easy. If I remember correctly, pull the freedom panels, remove the center light, remove the speakers and it comes apart from there.
