Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

I have buffing pads that attach to a conventional drill, I’ll start there. What compound you think? It’s not leftover adhesive but rather the outline of the letters.
I'd advise against using those pads or a RO buffer unless you really know what you're doing. You may get it off but have a good chance of putting holograms into the paint. Ask me how I know...haha. Now I can spot a shitty detailing job from a good one a mile away. Who ever polished my trailer at the dealer did this and it drives me crazy. I dont have the time to fix it right now either. Get a good dual action polisher. They work slower than a rotary but you have way less chance of putting holograms into the paint. If you wanted to drive to the desert I'd let you borrow all my detailing stuff.

Haha don’t tempt me! I drive through your area often enough

True Story. Especially since its a slightly different model... 25 years of muscle memory is a bitch. ... Re-adjust some things, Cut off some things, Modify some things, break in the leather.. by the time I finish my house they'll be dialed in. :D

Your hammer loop is probably going to be the biggest change...haha. I don't know if I'd like a pouch for my tape. My bags have the metal slot thing that I just slip my tape on using the belt clip

My Old Hammer Loop and Rear Dump pouch had to go back on.. Both soft and flexible when bending over... That New large Hammer loop leather is way to stiff. Fuck that thing. Tape has to go left lower outer pocket for me (wish it was split like my old bags)... Tape goes in and hand is right where it needs to be to grab the speed square. Reaching up to my waist was awkward as hell... Just couldn't do it. Both the leather Tape Holder and Nylon upper pouch just get in the way of reaching into the main pouches... so those got cut off right away. Modified the leather tape holder into a pencil holder... and added some leather grab handles. One of our guys has an old full leather Occidental set that came with grab handles and I always thought they were cool. Not sure why they discontinued that feature.

Yeah grab handles are nice. Mine doesn't have them but my buddies did and it was nice to just pick them up to move or load them instead of the flopping all over and inevitably dumping nails all over...haha
